The Vauxhall Zafira has never been a desirable car. If you disagree, then you have clearly lost the plot in life. Practicalities aside, it’s a tragic admission of defeat in life to actively admire the Zafira. Until now…
Recently available on eBay, although regrettably now sold, is a rather unconventional Zafira. Not just a VXR powered Zafira, but a steam powered one instead.
Although lunacy to some extent, this wasn’t made just for pure nostalgia for a children’s TV show. This particular Zafira was crafted for the “Run to the Sun” rally from Scotland to Benidorm.
Steaming along on this banger rally, the team managed to not only achieve thousands of curious looks, but also a range of other accolades. The award for “Best Fancy Car” for starters, a whopping £10,000 for their chosen charity and another £2,950 earned from their eBay listing and seemingly creating Vauxhall’s best attempt at the world’s largest e-cigarette.
This definitely ticks the WTF? boxes and is so obscure, it’s impressive. Well done lads!
