Stolen: ’91 Rover Mini – Stafford

Thieves strike again, following our earlier publication of the stolen Defender and yesterday’s Capri, a 1991 Rover Mini has also found itself captured.

Worryingly, this Mini fits with the trend of classic cars disappearing all over Britain, with this one previously residing in Stafford. Stolen between 07:30 and midday today (Monday 15th February 2016), this one is still white hot and potentially still being transported at the time of writing.

Wearing the registration number “J146 MBW”, the affectionately named “Mabel” has been part of the owner’s family for over 6 years; recently winning 2nd Prize in the 1990’s category at the 2016 British Mini Fair.

Mabel is finished in white, with an original interior polished chrome and wooden steering wheel and gear knob. Furthermore, she has had the plastic wheel arches removed with silver trim over the arches, black trim around the the roof line, painted silver wheels and bumpers with overriders.

Anyone with any information should first of all contact the Police on 101, before contacting the British Mini Club via Facebook.

In the meantime, please share this across the internet. Facebook, Twitter or wherever you may see fit. Let’s make this a victory for the little man!
