The classic car grim reaper has reared its ugly head once again. Sneaking out of the woods to claim another victim. This time, the victim is the owner of a 1964 Ford Anglia 7cwt van.
With the registration number 355 HLU and chassic number H31 DO 31 001, readers have been asked to keep on the look out for the dark blue which was stolen from the owner’s driveway on the night of Monday/Tuesday 25th/26th January 2016.
The 84 year old owner is understandably distressed, after thieves lifted his Anglia from his own driveway in Tankerton, Kent. Having owned the van since 1978, the vehicle holds sentimental memories of good times with his wife; who unfortunately passed away in December.
A reward is available for the recovery and prosecution of the low life (or low lives) responsible, but nothing will quite fix the heart ache which the owner has had to endure so far in the last two months.
Motor Hipster would first want to issue condolences to the owner, and would also like to call the internet to arms once again. Keep your eyes peeled for this unrestored Anglia van, and help to spread the message via the usual channels. We must unite to claim another victory, as with the recent recovery of the Citroen HY near Birmingham.
Any sightings should be reported to Kent Police immediately.
