What? – An absolutely beautiful 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L Lusso. Regarded as one of the best designs to ever leave the Pininfarina design studio. Beautifully crafted and adorned in Rosso Cordoba paint work with a superb tan leather interior adding a dash of tasteful contrast, this Lusso is certainly luscious. Furthermore, British buyers will be thrilled to know that it comes available in right hand drive tooling.
Where? – Available as part of an auction with Silverstone Auctions, available to bid on 4th September 2014 during the Salon Privé event. This wonderful Ferrari is apparently currently part of a significant UK-based collection.
Odometer reading? – Figures are not confirmed, however we can all be safe in the knowledge that such a classic would surely not have covered intercontinental mileage in its lifetime.
The Bad Bits? – It’s a bit out of our price range maybe? The predicted figure is anticipated to be between £1,175,000 and £2,000,000. For that price, it must be perfect!
Why? – Not only is this a highly valuable, beautiful and sought after classic, but it’s one of an extremely limited run of right hand drive variants. Only 22 right hand drive Lussos left the factory since 1962, with only 17 reportedly surviving.
Furthermore, this will probably result in a great investment classic, as prices are seriously unlikely to plummet for vehicles of this nature. Rest assure that everything will run swimmingly following a full restoration carried out in 2010 by Auto Restorations NZ in Christchurch, which later earned it a prestigious first place in the Masters’ Class at the NZ Classic Car Weekend Intermarque Concours d’Elegance in Auckland.
How Much? – Dig deep, as predicted prices range between £1,175,000 and £2,000,000. Maybe it’s time to sell the house and the kids into slavery!
